On Sunday, March 3, 2019, several Webelo I boys from our PACK spent the afternoon building a family Kestrel box at the Timberlane Middle School.  The event is an initiative of FoHVOS to help "Save the American Kestral", a threatened bird species in NJ.  Similar workshops will be run by the FoHVOS every Saturday and Sunday in March.  

If you are interested in joining Cub Scouts or just want more information, PACK 1776 will have a table at the Bear Tavern Back-to-School Night on Thursday Sept. 20th.  Please stop by and see us.

INTERESTED IN SCOUTING.  COME JOIN US and LEARN WHAT CUB SCOUTS IS ALL ABOUT.  ALL BOYS GRADES K to 5 ARE WELCOME.  The FIRE ACADEMY will be held on Sat., September 30th at 9:00AM at the Union Fire Company and Rescue Squad on River Road.  The boys will have an oppurtunity to spray a fire house, knock down walls, and other fun activities run by the local firemen and rescue squad. This is a great opportunity for parents to ask questions and for boys to learn more about Scouting.

Cub Scouts builds character by fostering confidence, family values, social skills and leadership skills in boys through fun and educational activities. As Cub Scouts, boys will build lasting friendships, learn valuable skills, and have lots of fun!!!   Learn to tie knots, shoot an arrow (archery), build a birdhouse, make and race derby cars, and go on hikes. No matter what grade, 1^st through 5^th, Cub Scouts is a blast.

Officer Grey of the Hopewell Township Police Department joined the Wolf Den at their meeting last Wed night to discuss with the boys how police officers help the community.  The boys had a great time learning about what police officers do and asked many questions.  Thank you Officer Grey.
